AdvaTx Laser Treatment for Rosacea

Rosacea is one of those skin conditions that can impact your confidence and pop up unexpectedly. You go thru the standard process of trying to eliminate foods that might have caused it to trying different skin care routines without progress on eliminating the redness. You may be frustrated by persistent redness & visible veins on your face. Adding laser treatments could help reduce both symptoms — and give you a major confidence boost.

Rosacea is a difficult condition to live with because the symptoms are so noticeable. Laser therapy won’t replace your standard treatment plan, but adding it can make a big difference in your appearance and self-esteem.

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is an inflammatory condition that makes the blood vessels on your face visible. Doctors aren’t sure what causes it, but they suspect that genes, mites, bacteria, and/or sun damage play roles.

If you have Rosacea, you may also get symptoms like:

  • Flushed cheeks, nose, chin, & forehead
  • Small, acne-like bumps on face
  • Patches of dry skin
  • Enlarged pores
  • Swollen nose
  • Bumps on your eyelids
  • Problems with seeing
  • Eye problems such as red, itchy eyes, swollen eyelids

There’s no real cure for Rosacea, but doctors prescribe certain medications to help treat symptoms:

  • Azelaic acid, which comes in gel & foam forms, may help clear up the redness & bumps
  • Topical antibiotics like doxycycline and metronidazole, which kill bacteria & suppress swelling & redness
  • Isotretinoin, an acne drug that can help get rid of skin bumps
  • Antibiotics you take by mouth, such as tetracycline

Rosacea B&A

Treatment Process for Rosacea

Focal Point uses cutting edge technology to treat Rosacea with a safe & effective treatment using the AdvaTx laser system. ADVATx uses 589nm wavelength yellow light, which is widely acknowledged as the gold standard in treating various vascular conditions, & a 1319nm wavelength to stimulate collagen production & to improve skin texture & overall dermal health. The treatments are safe & comfortable, with side effects usually only limited to mild swelling and/or redness. Significant changes in the skin can occur with each treatment.

This treatment will take approximately 20-30 minutes & there is minimal to no pain involved. Typically, there is little to no downtime & guests leave with a glow like they had a facial.

After Treatment Care

Each guest will be provided post care therapy instructions for optimal results. One key item recommended will be a minimum of 24 hours before direct sun exposure to the area. As with all skin care therapy, sunscreen is a critical step in the post care therapy since the treatment involves skin.

When Will You See Results

With most vascular treatments you will see a change within the first 24 hours, but multiple treatments are required for optimal results. Most need several treatments in order to get optimal results. The exact number of treatments depends on several things, including the severity of the Rosacea-related redness with typical treatment ranges from three to six spaced out every one to two weeks.
